JSJC 2025 - 19ème Journée Scientifique des Jeunes Chercheurs en Psychologie

19th Scientific Day for Young Researchers in Psychology

With the support of   PSITEC

The PSITEC laboratory is pleased to invite you to the 19th edition of the Scientific Day for Young Researchers in Psychology (JSJC) which will be held on April 24 and 25, 2025, in person at the University of Lille (Campus Pont-de-Bois).

Call for papers is open (until January 10, 2025)

The Journée Scientifique des Jeunes Chercheurs (JSJC) is a free event designed to support and promote the work of young researchers in psychology. This annual event is an opportunity for young researchers (masters, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers) to present their research and attend lectures and workshops related to research in psychology.

The aim of this day is to encourage exchange between young researchers and to support them in their research and career. Your methodological questions will be at the heart of this edition, with the possibility to present your work with the expected results, and to adopt a common reflection to help you in the progress of your research.

Why participate in the JSJC?

  • Promote your work in a collaborative and positive atmosphere.
  • Engage in enriching exchanges : Connect with other young researchers who, like you, want to progress and innovate in psychological research.
  • Gain practical tools : Learn methodological tips, ask your questions, and leave with valuable answers.
  • A training ground : whether it's your first time communicating at a scientific event or not, the JSJC is the perfect place to improve your communication skills without pressure.

Come and see what’s new at the 19th JSJC

  • Back in person : Welcome to the Pont de Bois campus at the University of Lille ! To encourage meaningful exchanges between participants, especially during breaks, we invite you to join us on site.
  • Innovative workshops and conferences: The program includes several workshops to support your research, challenge your perspective as a researcher, and explore the future of scientific inquiry.
    • Have you heard of the Last Lecture? We invite an associate professor to imagine giving the last lecture of their life, sharing advice and guidance for future generations!
    • Are you considering an academic career in France but unsure if it’s the right fit for you ? Join us for our roundtable discussion on "Life after the PhD: Towards an academic career?" and get answers.
    • Let's co-create tomorrow's science: come and discover the basics of participatory research, where every voice counts and every idea advances knowledge!
    • Are you interested in research that combines qualitative and quantitative data? We propose a session on mixed methods applied to organisational psychology.
    • Is there a beneficial effect of indirect interaction with nature? Florent Beclin, a doctor of psychology, will give us the answer.
  • Support every step of the way: you will have access to practical guides to help you throughout the presentation process, from submission to delivery.

  • And many other surprises await you!

Presentation formats for communication

There are two presentation formats:

  • Oral Communication: 10-12 minutes for the presentation, with the possibility to highlight methodological issues and challenges faced, followed by 8-10 minutes for questions (max 20 minutes by communication).

Either for an oral presentation or a poster, you can present either a complete research project or one with expected results.

What are the submission guidelines?

Submissions, whether oral or poster, can be made in French or English. It is also possible to prepare the presentation material (poster or slide show) in one language and give the oral presentation in another. You will also have access to guides to help you write your abstract for submission, create your poster and prepare your oral presentation.

Absolutely you can! At the JSJC you can present your work, whether it is completed or in progress. The aim is to share your ideas and engage in collaborative thinking, not to present a perfect project.
